Investigative Research / True Crime Book Projects

 

In addition to being a children's author/illustrator, Kim is a freelance investigative researcher. She has worked closely with true crime authors on their book projects, "HE KILLED OUR JANNY: "A Family's Search for the Truth, and UNTIL SOMEONE GETS HURT.”  Both books were self-published and became bestsellers. 

 

"HE KILLED OUR JANNY" is based on a true story – the 1984 mysterious death and unsolved case of Janyce Hansen, Aurora, Colorado. Kim's husband, John Hansen, was Janny's son. The author, Sherrie Lueder, is Kim's sister. Kim was credited for incorporating criminal and justice records, and purposed evidence of murder research. She also designed the book’s cover and produced and published the book trailer. "HE KILLED OUR JANNY" was self-published September 21, 2011, and went on to win the Top 10 True Crime Book Awards 2011 and become an Amazon International Bestseller Top 100 in PAID Kindle Store [True Crime/Murder & Mayhem; Biography/Memoirs/True Accounts; and Family Relationships/Dysfunctional Families.] In April 2012, "HE KILLED OUR JANNY" was selected for the Colorado Book Awards.

 

In June 2013, Kim was accepted in to The American Investigative Society of Cold Cases (AISOCC) and is an active General Member committed to the pursuit of truth and justice for homicide victims.
